1. What this notice covers

This notice covers this RyftRealm website and its playtest interest form. RyftRealm is an unreleased mobile game being developed by Aleš Spital under Hornbeam Studio. A future test build may have its own, more specific notice before you install or use it.

2. Information the website collects

When you choose to join the playtest list, the form collects:

• your email address;
• your preferred mobile platform, if you choose one;
• confirmation that you are at least 16; and
• confirmation that you agree to be contacted about RyftRealm playtests and launch updates.

A hidden anti-spam field is also used to reject automated submissions. Like most websites, the hosting service may create short-lived technical logs such as an IP address, browser information, request time, and error details for security and reliable operation.

3. How that information is used

The information is used to:

• manage interest in future RyftRealm playtests;
• send suitable volunteers playtest invitations and RyftRealm launch updates;
• understand which mobile platforms volunteers use; and
• protect the form and website from abuse.

Joining the list does not guarantee access, and your email will not be repurposed for unrelated marketing without asking you first.

This website does not use analytics or advertising trackers. A necessary session cookie may be set so the site can protect the form with a CSRF security token, return validation feedback, and remember a successful submission. It is not used to build an advertising profile.

4. Storage, sharing, and retention

Sign-up details are kept until playtest recruitment ends or deletion is requested. They may be processed by services needed to host, secure, back up, or operate the site. Information may also be disclosed if required by law. It is not sold or rented to data brokers.

No internet service can promise perfect security, but access is limited and reasonable safeguards are used for the size and stage of this project.

5. Steps and the game prototype

The website does not read your steps. In the current mobile prototype, RyftRealm can read device step history through the motion or activity features provided by iOS or Android, after you grant permission. It reads that history when you return, including steps taken while the game was closed. The current walking loop does not need GPS location. Testers will receive a specific disclosure if a future build introduces diagnostics or other data collection.

6. Your choices

You may ask what sign-up information is held about you, correct it, withdraw from contact, or ask for deletion. Use the contact route on Aleš’s portfolio ↗ and include the email address you used to sign up so the request can be matched.

The playtest list is for people aged 16 or older. If information was submitted by someone younger, a parent or guardian can use the same contact route to request removal.

7. Changes to this notice

This notice may change as the website and game develop. Material changes will be reflected here, together with a revised update date.
